Because back in the previous episode of the show, when a corpse was found rotting in the middle of the woods, the team tried to link the victims to these two families that had been feuding for more than a century. Brennan and Booth interrogated this family member with a shocking confession that led them to a certain motive for the victim’s murder. On the other hand, Brennan had a difficult time accepting her father’s offer to babysit their infant daughter because of his unpredictable presence in her own childhood.
